We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to provide exceptional patient care. Your role will involve assisting with various dental procedures, ensuring infection control protocols are followed, and maintaining accurate patient records. Responsibilities:

- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available

- Assist the dentist and dental hygienist during procedures, providing chairside support

- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist

- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records

- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions

- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment following infection control guidelines

- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order new materials as needed

- Schedule patient appointments and maintain the office calendar

- Provide administrative support, such as answering phone calls and managing patient paperwork

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required

- Knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, and procedures

- Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic technique

- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft

- Experience with medical coding and billing is a plus

- Ability to take accurate dental x-rays using digital imaging systems

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
